Here at the Bar Z Riverside Ranch we host both fishing and non-fishing guests. For our fishing guests there is a three day/four night minimum, and a minimum of four guests per trip, however we will accommodate to smaller groups. All Rates include first-class meals, Lodging and one of our professional guides per double occupancy. Additional guides and guide service is available upon request.
Seasons
June 15th – September 15th. Different fish tend to be more active during various times of the year. The entire season from June – September will have active rainbows, browns, cutthroat, and brookies.
September 15th – October 31st. When the weather starts cooling off the larger Brown Trout will become more active. After the middle of September the number of big Browns caught starts to rise. This is one of the best times of the year if you’re looking to hook into one of the famous Smith River Fall Browns.

The Bar Z Riverside Ranch has exclusive access to miles of private water (see areas we fish) but we do offer other even more remote areas for our guests. Many ranches in the area offer some private water only accessible when staying at the Bar Z. Some of these waters may require an additional rod fee. Please call us to discuss options.

* Yellowstone and Madison Rates are based on fisherman leaving from Bozeman.
* Missouri Rates are based on fisherman leaving from Great Falls or meeting at the ranch.
Terms and Conditions
- Pricing for Bar Z Riverside Ranch trips are based on a per person double occupancy rate, two anglers per guide. The above prices do not include: airfare, tackle and flies, travel insurance, transfer from Bozeman, Great Falls, or Billings, and other misc travel expenses.
- Any fishing on arrival day or morning of departure will be assumed half day, and $100 per person(non-guided) & $150 (guided) will be added to total bill.
- Deposit shall be half of trip value (per person) due 14 days after time of reservation, if deposit is not received 14 days after reservation has been made your dates may be reserved by another party.
- 120 day cancellation policy to receive deposit in full. If you do cancel your trip prior to 120 days before your scheduled arrival date your deposit will be refunded in full minus a $100 processing fee. After 120 days the deposit becomes non-refundable.
- Final payment due 30 days prior to arrival.
- Groups that arrive less the original number reserved shall be charged for original total on reservation.
