The Madison River


Frequently rated as the number one wild trout fishery in North America, the Madison River is one of the most consistent in Montana for producing trophy trout and high fish  counts. It is a headwater tributary of the Missouri River, and located near the town of Ennis (approx. 2.5 hours from our Lodge). From its origin in Yellowstone National Park, it flows for more than 140 miles through exceptionally beautiful scenery before it reaches the Missouri River near the town of Three Forks, Montana. Set amidst broad valleys lined with rugged mountains, the scenery along the river is legendary.
