The Missouri River

The Missouri River is the longest river in North America and known for having one of the highest trout populations in the west. Formed by the confluence of the Gallatin, Jefferson and Madison rivers at the town of Three Forks, the Missouri River flows for 700 miles across Montana. It is most famous for it’s incredible dry fly fishing (March through November), and has developed a reputation for producing some of the best fishing in the state, along with the largest average fish size. Guests wishing to float the Missouri will travel with their guide to the Dell, MT (approx. 1 hour from our Lodge). The Missouri river  flows through unspoiled land consisiting of wide-open valleys flanked by buttes and agricultural fields. Full-day float trips are available upon request and dependent on guide availability. To Book a trip call : 406.570.5519.
